Summary

The Subspace Foundation launched in Zurich in late 2023 with the primary mission to decentralize the Autonomys Network. By establishing an autonomous community-driven DAO, this foundation guides the transition away from centralized governance toward a user-centric approach. Through a council comprising diverse stakeholders representing multiple ecosystem sectors, the network is moving its future into private hands of active participants rather than external entities. This shift aims to empower everyone in the community to co-create value and manage infrastructure transparently. As a key driver, the organization will systematically eliminate traditional authority structures by allowing individual users to define their own rules without reliance on third-party controllers or government approval.
