summary | LFortran is a language processing tool that has made significant progress in recent years. In February 2023, it began building legacy and modern Minpack fastGPT. By September 2023, LFortran had compiled the fastGPT and dftatom libraries. October 2023 saw the compilation of dftatom with SciPy, followed by compiling 60 of SciPy's standard library in January 2024. The next milestone occurred in April 2024 when LFortran compiled the SNAP library. In August 2024, it started compiling the PRIMA library. Finally, in March 2025, LFortran successfully compiled PrimaClean, which features a modular design and can be used as a separate library. The tool is structured into two independent modules, AST Abstract Syntax Tree and ASR Abstract Semantic Representation, which are designed to be utilized independently for other applications or to develop standalone tools on top of them. |
