- Summary
- This website argues that the analysis of covariability – examining relationships between tracking dietary and physical activity changes – is missing in current tracking research and its implications for chronic disease risk. Existing national guidelines treat diet and physical activity separately. The International Society should combine behavioral nutrition and physical activity research, utilizing seven categories to explore their interconnectedness: historical context, biological links, shared behaviors, measurement similarities, relevant correlations and interventions, interrelationships between the two, and joint policy implications.
