Our group of water experts focuses on innovative water rights for basin management and inclusivity in spate irrigated areas across Pakistan. We recently launched a dedicated initiative named "New Water Rights for Basin Management and Inclusivity in Spate Irrigated Areas of Pakistan" aimed at ensuring that every farmer gets fair access to safe water sources.

Another major focus area is the comprehensive "Sustainability and Unintended Impact Assessment" of water spreading weirs, a critical tool used for water management in this region. We regularly analyze the environmental and social benefits of our engineering works while simultaneously exploring how they might negatively impact local communities.

Our equipment development for women and men prioritizes gender equality by designing tools that are safe, inclusive, and effective for both genders in spate irrigation scenarios. The latest news highlights the recent 2023 Pakistan Water Week session, featuring a keynote speech by Reinier Veldman discussing spate irrigation in context of 2023 Pakistan Water Week. We are actively collaborating with Meta and the FLood-based Livelihoods Network to present our innovations during this year-long event, offering valuable technical insights and practical solutions to farmers in the affected zones.
