- Summary
- Cognitive capital, defined as the measure of a nation's average or top 5 IQ, is considered the primary driver of its success in wealth, GDP and general well-being. This notion is based on several often misinterpreted myths: on the one hand, it is considered that IQ alone measures only logical intelligence without the real psychological and behavioral dimension; on the other hand, we cannot reduce this indicator to a single number, because intelligence is multidimensional. Success also depends on the quality of applied education, as high cognitive capital is required to acquire these foundations. Although IQ impacts relevance and speed of operation, some have formulated that higher IQs function like others and that IQ only counts logical intelligence. Finally, the results show that IQ varies from generation to generation, but that the dominant factor always remains the quality of training.
