summaryThis message, "404 Not Found," is an HTTP status code indicating that the server (in this case specifically using Nginx) could not find what was requested by a client. It means there has been some kind of error with locating or retrieving the page/content you were trying to access on your website.

When you're managing websites through platforms like WordPress, Drupal, Shopify etc., and they are hosted via an NGix server this message usually appears when:

1) You misspelled the URL in which case it is a simple typo that can easily be fixed by double-checking the address you typed. However common typos also happen because your website links have changed but old link were left on widgets, sidebars etc.

2) A webpage got deleted or moved to another location (if not done properly with redirects for example)

3) Some page was renamed and now it is missing its new name in the address you typed

4) In case of an external site that links to your website. This message usually appears if there are some errors on this site's server which can be checked through tools like httpstatus.io.

5) Wrong domain, i.e., when a typo was made while typing it or even after setting up WordPress Multisite it's possible you have the wrong subdomain (e.g. instead of example.com/mysite you typed www.example.com)

6) A security issue on your server has blocked access to certain pages and this is usually accompanied by some other errors

7) If you're using a CDN, it can also result in 404 error if there was an incorrect configuration or the content didn't exist at first location.

8) The website's domain hasn't propagated yet after you registered/updated DNS records which causes all requests to hit wrong server.

In case it's caused by any of these reasons then they need further investigation and fixing before anything else can be done.

If you're unsure about what might have happened, it would help if you'd check the address bar for errors in spelling or URL structure. You could also try clearing your browser's cache because outdated data stored there may lead to an incorrect page being loaded.

In general 404 not found error is quite common and usually indicates that you need to fix some issues related either with how a link was created (misspelled characters, wrong domains etc) or even if the webpage itself no longer exists in such location. If everything else looks fine then it might be an issue on server side which needs further investigation.

I hope this helps! Let me know your question if you have any.
