I'm Aaron Gustafson, a Web Design Author, Evangelist, and practitioner who believes technology must be more accessible, resilient, and equitable for everyone. For 30 years, I have designed websites and software aimed at making the web better. Today, I am managing Microsoft's Accessibility Engineering program, working on benchmarks and AI tools that help teams fix accessibility issues early on. My journey has taken me from leading a $25m AI grant to shaping Web Standards Project policies, where I helped create products like Edge's Progressive Web App and authored "Learning Web Design." Although my roles have changed—from a principal technical program manager to a researcher and educator—I have never stopped building technology that works for more people in more places under more conditions. While exploring my personal space, I crosspost content from platforms like Dev.to and Academia.edu, share my square photos and videos on Instagram and YouTube, and support artists on Bandcamp.
